Dr. Coverstone is the founder of Audiology Ear Care and it’s parent company, Sentient Healthcare, Inc. Dr. Coverstone specializes in hearing care, tinnitus care, and auditory processing. He has previously specialized in vestibular care (dizziness and balance problems) and has lectured frequently on each of these topics at universities, conferences, and private training events. Dr. Coverstone is a former columnist and science writer for for Tinnitus Today, magazine of the American Tinnitus Association and multiple professional publications. He has formerly co-hosted ATA’s podcast, Conversations in Tinnitus and the original audiology podcast, AudiologyTalk.

Dr. Coverstone has provided extensive public service to his profession and community, including:

• American Board of Audiology, Board of Governors 2010-2017 (Chair in 2015)
• Audiology Practice Standards Organization, Founder & Board of Directors 2017-2019 (Founding President in 2018)
• Minnesota Academy of Audiology, Board of Directors 2004-2006 & 2010-2013 (President, 2012)
• Sight & Hearing Association, Board of Directors 2004 – 2011
• Cub Scout Pack 9525, Den Leader (2011-2015) & Cubmaster (2016-2023)
• Scouts BSA Troop 9625, Assistant Scout Master (2017 – present)

On a more personal note:

• Dr. Coverstone’s wife is also an audiologist and is the coordinator for newborn hearing screening in Minnesota
• They have four children, 3 boys and 1 girl
• Dr. Coverstone loves sports. He played many sports when a child, has coached youth baseball and basketball and pitched for his church softball team.
